#FROSTPUNK TRAINER 1.4.0 SOFTWARE#
The only anti-tampering software Valve provides for devs to use is VAC which only a few select games use. For example: Easy Anti cheat / BattleEye. The only games that have tampering protection are usually online multiplayer games, and that protection is usually implemented by a third party software that the game devs use.

I mean why would VALVE care? As long as its a single-player game you can do whatever you want with it.
#FROSTPUNK TRAINER 1.4.0 MOD#
There are tons of games with no official mod support on steam that are easily moddable and VALVE doesn't care at all. Steam "repairs" the game and replaces all files IF you tell it to do so, but not on its own. Steam doesn't detect a game as pirated when you modify it at all. Most of what you said is completely incorrect. In new games, if the dev doesn't provide Mod support then don't expect modding. Old school games were built differently, thats why modding was a thing before stuff like the Steam Workshop. You can perhaps hack it apart and likely break it, but whats the point, you couldn't really use it nor really share it with anyone else. Again Steam would detect this as a pirated copy. exe, add functionality to pick up and consume new files then recompile somehow. Only if you have a very loose definition of 'modding' the game.Ĭould you change some of the game files? Perhaps, but thats not modding as supported by most major platforms, Steam would detect the game as tampered with.Ĭould you add extra files for the game to consume? Well no, you'd need to decompile the. It is much more likely that no one capable enough had interest in adding something worthwhile to this game (yet). Unless the developers really went out of their way to try prevent any form of tampering (for no reason), i am 100% sure that you can mod this game. That should tell you exactly how possible it is to mod this game. My point is that not a single human being on this Earth has ever made a mod for this game - despite three million copies sold.
